Locked out? Request lockout assistance
Lockout assistance is for keys or fobs that are inside the car, or a door that will not cooperate while you are standing outside it. UPICK dispatches an independent roadside provider; it does not publish locksmith tricks on a marketing page.
Confirm you are the vehicle's rightful user. Have identification ready. If a child or pet is inside, say that immediately in the request.
If lockout is the small problem and the car also will not start, you may need jump start or towing after the doors are open.
What to put in the request
Make, model, location, and whether the vehicle is running. Running vehicles with keys inside are a different urgency than a quiet parking-lot lockout.
After you are back in
If the only issue was access, you are done. If a dead battery caused a lockout cascade, request a jump. If something is damaged, a shop or a tow may be next.
